CHAIRMAN'S MESSAGE

So now that we’ve taken time in the end of April to appreciate our employees and administrative assistants (and shame on you if you forgot!), we now come into May. Our Vice Chair of Chamber Development, Kimberly Bordonaro, has dubbed May the Membership Appreciation Month! So in honor of May Membership Month, I will try to memorialize this message by including as many words as possible that start with the letter “M.” We mark May with two special events, our Membership Appreciation Day on May 6, 2008 and continue our membership appreciation with our Spring Open House and Courtyard Mixer on May 15, 2008. Please remember the many other opportunities this month including our magnificent May Breakfast and our May Luncheon. Our magnificent May breakfast is always MC’d by our magnetic Marie White of Money Mailer, who brings much merriment to our mornings. Our May luncheon is marked with more management memorabilia through “Telecom 101,” which shows you how to be marketable and make more money with mobile technology! You don’t want to Miss this one!
We also will be spending this month preparing for our 13th Annual Wine Tasting & Silent Auction, one of our best events of the year. Join us for some Merlot! I have to also tell you how merry and magnanimous our new Mayor sworn in this March has been to our Chamber, so please applaud Madam Mayor Mary Sue Mauer when you see her next, and thank her for the support of your Calabasas Chamber of Commerce! (Well, this last didn’t really fit in, but how could I not include that many chances for the letter “M”?)
In all seriousness, what makes this Chamber so special is you, our members. We appreciate you and your decision to be a part of our fantastic Calabasas Chamber of Commerce. We value you, and want to continue to make your involvement in the Calabasas Chamber enjoyable and rewarding. Please continue to give us your feedback, and I promise not to attempt as much alliteration next month!
